BERGEN LEADS: CLASS OF 2026 GRADUATION & A NEW FUTURE
Congratulations to the Bergen LEADS Class of 2026, who graduated on June 9th! Over the last year, these talented individuals immersed themselves in the complex issues facing our region, sharpened their leadership skills, built vital community connections, and emerged ready to shape Bergen County’s future.
The Bergen LEADS program itself is embarking on an exciting transition. Over the coming months, we will shift our focus from a year-long, cohort-based model to curated leadership development and networking sessions for our Bergen LEADS alumni network.
Keep an eye on your inbox for more details about this new chapter!

THAT'S A WRAP! KNOWLEDGE FOR SENIOR CARE WORKSHOP SERIES
On June 12th, we hosted Home Accessibility Education, the final installment of our three-part Knowledge for Senior Care workshop series for seniors and caregivers. Led by Tracey Kirstein, a Physical Therapist and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, the session focused on affordable, practical modifications to create a safer home environment with fewer physical barriers.
The workshop series brought together local experts and community members to share valuable strategies and resources aimed at enhancing safety, independence, and peace of mind for local seniors.
If you missed any of the live sessions, or simply want to revisit the invaluable advice shared by our speakers, we have you covered. Click on the links below to view the video recordings.

Our nonprofit partner, the Franciscan Community Development Center (FCDC) of Fairview, has been a vital lifeline—serving over 9,500 neighbors and feeding 8,500+ individuals monthly in Bergen County’s only federally designated food desert. They also offer free legal services, tax assistance, counseling, and dedicated senior care.
Now, they urgently need our help. FCDC’s current lease is not being renewed, forcing them to fund a new center to continue their mission of hope and dignity. Please consider supporting them so they can continue to serve those who rely on them. Learn more.
