October 26
The Cheerful Giver
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Rev. Zack L. Dunlap preaching
It's been said that “the most fun you can have with money is giving it away.” In a culture where many seem to hoard out of fear or self-preservation, living generously and giving intentionally can be avenues of joy. This Sunday, Pastor Zack will explore what it means for each of us to live and give cheerfully. If you haven’t already submitted your estimate of giving for 2026, bring it with you into worship this Sunday. Additional cards will be available at Berkley First.
Attend worship Sunday at 10:00 a.m., in-person at 2820 12 Mile Road in Berkley, or online. Click a button below to attend worship online.
| | Our Missions Ministry encompasses 22 teams serving local organizations, national locations, and global ministries. Come and see how these teams are making a difference in our community, and around the world, on Sunday after worship. | | A new wave of K-Groups is starting up through Birmingham and Berkley First, and we would love for you to be a part of it! Short for koinonia or Biblical community, K-Groups meet in homes for an hour once a week. These are “no homework” small groups where the content is your life. | |

MCHS Wishlist
Every year, we support MCHS (Methodist Children’s Home Society) by fulfilling holiday wish lists for children serviced by their programs. This year our church has 75 Foster Children’s Wish Lists. We need your help to make this possible once again, by adopting a foster child’s Wish List. You can pick up information this Sunday after worship at the MCHS table during the Missions Fair.

New Book Study for Advent
Begins Sunday, November 2
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Discover the fascinating connections between ancient birth stories and the Nativity of Jesus in this captivating four-week Advent study. The book study has a DVD accompaniment by author Amy-Jill Levine, who brings her expert knowledge of Scripture and careful consideration of the Christian story to show readers how Scripture's earlier birth narratives of Isaac and Ishmael, Moses, and Samuel reveal how they foreshadow and enrich the timeless Christmas story of Jesus’s birth. It will give new meaning to those classic stories! We meet in the Parlor on Sundays beginning November 2 from 6:30-7:30 pm. Book cost is $15.00.

Tuesday Women's Group 7-Week Study
Begins Tuesday, October 28
7:00 p.m.
Theology is a conversation about God. One that invites us to experience God in all His fullness rather than just memorizing facts about God. Theology is not some academic subject to only be pursued by professors and seminarians. Theology is the way we connect with our Redeemer. It's how we remember that we're His. And we will never have to be alone.
This seven-week Bible study by Lisa Harper, titled A Jesus-Shaped Life, is your invitation to explore the depths of God's character, God's love for you, and how your relationship with Him transforms you. Ultimately, you will experience how biblically sound theology deepens your relationship with God and each other.
