More than 17,000 turkeys on farm in Lehigh destroyed after testing positive for avian flu

More than 17,000 turkeys from a Lehigh County poultry farm have been destroyed after a highly contagious avian flu was confirmed in the flock. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's website, which tracks outbreaks across the U.S., recorded 17,400 birds affected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Holiday baking will be more expensive this year as basics like milk, eggs, flour and sugar, as well as some popular sides, have all risen since last year, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert. Penn State Berks to offer craft brewing certificate program for spring 2023

WYOMISSING, Pa. - Penn State Berks will offer a new craft brewing certificate program in partnership with Penn State Extension for the spring 2023 semester. The noncredit program is designed for students with some brewing experience. It will entail eight seven-week-long remote courses where students will meet weekly with their instructor via Zoom to discuss course content, ask questions, and engage in discussions.
