Mission & Vision: In addition to working in an ever-changing business climate, family-owned companies face a host of unique challenges that often complicate the day-to-day running of the business. Berks Family Business Alliance (FBA) was created to address these pressing issues, helping businesses to find solutions to the complex issues that families working together often struggle to overcome.
A note from: Karen Marsdale - Senior VP, Special Programs
Our programming year for the Berks Family Business Alliance began with our Launch on Thursday, November 8 th with nationally recognized author and TEDx speaker Brad Szollose. His book Liquid Leadership and his keynote message “How to Lead in the Age of Millennials” was outstanding. Sometimes referred to as the “talent gap” or the “workforce pipeline crisis”, this topic is on the minds of all business leaders today. Brad gave great takeaways for the audience to consider related to this challenge.

Here are the facts…by 2020, 47% of the workforce in America will be either Millennials or Generation Z. As Szollose says, “those who can understand how to unleash their talent” will win the game. Brad certainly gave us a completely new understanding of how we need to view the workforce of the future! Be sure to watch the video below to see more about what Brad specializes in, and I suggest getting his new book, Liquid Leadership 2.0.
