THE BERLIN BULLETIN - December 2023
A Message From The Mayor's Office
This month, The Town of Berlin celebrated Municipal Government Works Month, an initiative of the Maryland Municipal League (MML). Town employees met with some of the youngest members of our community to share the work they do for the Town of Berlin every day.

Additionally, the Town of Berlin distributed a coloring book to all Pre-K students at Worcester Preparatory School and Buckingham Elementary School. Coloring books were also made available at the Town of Berlin Visitors Center. A downloadable link to the coloring book is available on the Mayor’s Office page of the Town of Berlin website by clicking here.

The Town of Berlin also celebrated our veterans by participating in Operation Green Light. Crews from the Town of Berlin Electric Department changed lamp post lights, lights at Town Hall, and lights in our trees to the color green from November 6th to November 12th to show our veterans in the community that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

We ended the month of November with Town Staff decorating the Town of Berlin Christmas Tree and our entire community coming together for Ice Ice Berlin to light our Christmas Tree. To watch a short video reel of the event, click here.

The holiday season in Berlin is a magical time of year, and I look forward to seeing all of you at our 52nd Annual Christmas Parade next Thursday, December 7th, at 7:00 PM. We will also host the first Menorah Lighting at The Inn Berlin on Thursday, December 14th, at 5:30 PM.

Please remember to Shop Small this holiday season and support or local businesses. You can also enjoy the Merry Marketplace on Saturdays and Free Carriage Rides. You can find more information about events in Town by visiting the Berlin Main Street Events page.

From my family to yours, I wish all of you a safe and healthy holiday!
