A Message from our Water Department
The Wastewater Utility has experienced an increase in backups. We would like to remind consumers that wipes are not flushable even if they are advertised as ‘flushable wipes’. If you use any type of wipe in your household, please be sure to dispose of them in a trash can. Other products that should be disposed of in the trash include grease, rubber gloves, disposable masks, and feminine hygiene products. They all have the potential to ball up with other debris in the wastewater system and clog pump impellers in pump stations. This can result in unexpected backups and costly repairs. https://blog.envirosight.com/sewer-school-flushable-wipes

Water Resources has had difficulty accessing some residents' meters in Town. Please remember to clear tall grass, brush, and debris from your meter pit area, and do not park over your meter. This will ensure that Water Resources can get an accurate reading of your meter for your bill. The photo on the right shows three meters that are inaccessible and difficult to access and one that is easily accessible.
If you need help locating your meter to ensure you are in compliance or have any questions please call 410-641-2414.
