Spring 2020 Newsletter
Dear Friends,

We here at Berry Best Farm hope you and yours are well and keeping safe during this unusual time.
Our plans for the upcoming fruit season are very challenging as you might imagine. Our first priority is keeping you safe and healthy when you decide to visit our farm to pick blueberries, raspberries or peaches. Because of the ongoing pandemic we will be adhering to requirements set by the State of Maine's Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and Maine CDC. We're also are guided by state extension service recommendations for Pick-Your-Own farms.

Some changes and new rules are:
  • Please come only if you are symptom free and have had no contact with sick individuals.
  • You must wear a face mask or covering when checking in and checking out. Maintaining social distance is also critical at all times.
  • Family groups must ensure that youngsters especially stay close to other family members at all times.
  • Leave your personal picking containers at home. We'll provide you with clean, sanitary picking totes.
  • Payment by credit/debit card is encouraged. Cash and personal checks still accepted. Only one individual (with mask) per party during payment transactions when cashing out please.
  • We ask that you leave pets at home.
  • Our farm hours may change this year…please check the website before you come. www.BerryBestFarm.com

The promising news is that the blueberry crop looks to be a good one as long as our native pollinators do their job well. Our farm family is looking forward to seeing you once again. The tentative opening date is July 15th.
