Co-Ed Softball Tournament
September 17 - 9am - 10pm
Bein Park - Berthoud Colorado
The tournament this past Sunday was a great success. The event raised $774 for Alternatives to Violence, one of our 23 non-profits in the chamber. Next year, we'll chose another non-profit as the benefactor.

We want to thank our sponsors: AdSortium, Reporter-Herald, Times-Call, Weedin Agency, Town of Berthoud, Syle Magazine, Berthoud A&W, Grandpa’s Café, Ken Grack Mobile RV Repair Service (for the Gatorade and snacks), and MainStreet Care Care & Quick Lube . Your sponsorships are crucial for making these events happen!

We also have the most amazing volunteers! Thank you, Tom Texeira, Jan & Ken Grack, Kelly Doane, Debbie Schleiger, Cindy & Larry Leach, Chris Dostal, John Giroux, Virginia Huppe & John Beck, Trish Will & Fred Richart for your help and Marcus Martin  for being an umpire the whole day. We want to give a special thank you to Wes Joy with Berthoud Parks & Rec for all of your help as well as the preparation.

2017 Chamber Ambassadors
Featured Ambassador of the month:
Virginia Huppe
Individual Member
Congratulations to Virginia Huppe for being nominated Ambassador of the month for July. Every Ambassador stays in touch with about 20 members in the chamber. They make phone calls to them, send emails and make sure they get to know them. Virginia does an excellent job at this. When our members see her number on the phone, they know that Virginia is calling to share with them the latest news or opportunity regarding the chamber. Virginia also sits on many committees, attends most of the chamber functions and volunteers at these events as well. We value her and all that she does!

Business of the Month
M & M Farms
Congratulations to Bill Markham
for being awarded business of the month.
Help us in congratulating Bill Markham for being nominated Business of the Month for July. It has been a busy year for Bill with M & M Farms. He had an article written about him in The Fence Post magazine in November, was inducted into the Agriculture Hall of Fame, was interviewed in New York City about that and most recently was nominated for Bravo! Entrepreneur of the Year – Lifetime Achievement Award from  BizWest. He, also, recently was able to bring FFA back to Berthoud High School.

Quoted from the K-99 website:
The Markham family has been growing barley for Coors for the past 60 years. Bill has been a producer of barley, corn, sugar beets and cattle, for decades and is one of four people who will be inducted this year into the  Farm Credit Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame for a lifetime of contributions to agriculture, including his commitment to 4-H and FFA.

Help us in congratulating Bill Markham the next time you see him..   Information
