Dear valued partners and friends,

Warm greetings from Sri Lanka!

As a young explorer, I’ve always been captivated by our country’s rich cultural heritage, making it a priority over the years to delve into Sri Lanka’s many festivals. However, it wasn’t until I experienced the Sinhala and Tamil New Year in a rural village that I truly understood the profound depth of these traditions. The villagers, dressed in their finest attire, gathered to partake in rituals passed down through generations. I eagerly joined in, playing traditional games like Kana Mutti (pot breaking) and Kotta Pora (pillow fighting), and even helped prepare kiribath (milk rice) and sweetmeats such as kokis and aluwa. What struck me most was how these celebrations are far more than just customs — they are moments of connection, bringing people together to share joy and forge lasting bonds.

In this edition of our newsletter, I’m thrilled to share how we can offer your travellers the chance to experience these cultural milestones firsthand. Through carefully curated, customisable encounters, your explorers will connect with the spirit of Sri Lanka’s festivals, creating memories that will linger long after their journey ends.

Subha gamanak vēvā! Wishing you a peaceful journey — filled with joy and meaningful connections. And may your Christmas be merry and your New Year bright and prosperous!

Yours,

Suranjith
