Restaurants and Eateries: Prepare for Graduation Season


Graduation season is here, and the Lincoln Square BID has compiled a schedule of upcoming ceremonies taking place on the Lincoln Center campus. This schedule is intended to help restaurants and eateries prepare to welcome graduates and their families.

Street Closures

Now through Friday, July 31: 64th Street between Broadway & Columbus Ave will be closed to through traffic due to Con Edison gas work Monday through Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.


Saturday, May 9: The annual Japan Day Parade will be held on Central Park West between 67th Street and 81st Street from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Expect street closures and delays on those streets, as well as 67th and 68th Streets between Broadway and Central Park West, and 72nd Street between Columbus and Central Park West.


Sunday, May 10: The east side of Broadway between 60th & 65th Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:00am to 8:00pm due to a multi-block street fair.

Alternate Side Parking Suspension

Alternate Side Parking is suspended on Thursday, May 14, for Solemnity of the Ascension, and on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, for Shavuoth.

Con Edison Work Notice

Con Edison is performing a Gas Upgrade on West 68th Street between Columbus Ave and Central Park West, with work expected through Wednesday, September 30. Please expect limited street parking, temporary lane/bike lane closure, noise, and generator(s). The work schedule is as follows: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The reference number is 26-03335.

Update on Extell’s 67th Street Redevelopment 

From Monday, May 11, through Sunday, May 24, the scope of work at Extell’s 67th Street Redevelopment includes the demolition of the existing buildings located at 147 Columbus Ave, 149 Columbus Ave, 77 West 66th Street, 47 West 66th Street, and 30 West 67th Street of the former ABC/Disney Campus. FIFA World Cup 2026™ “Welcome World Rewards Program”:


The New York New Jersey Host Committee has launched the Welcome World Rewards Program, a region-wide initiative designed to connect residents and visitors with participating small businesses through a digital experience that rewards neighborhood exploration, drives foot traffic, and highlights the diverse commercial corridors that define communities across New York and New Jersey.

 

The Welcome World Rewards Program is free and easy to use for both businesses and fans:



  • Small businesses opt in at no cost through a simple application process, which is now open and can be accessed via the NYNJ Host Committee’s website.
  • Fans engage with participating businesses through digital check-ins and collect points in a digital wallet that are redeemable for prizes.
  • Businesses may extend fan-friendly promotions such as discounts or tournament-themed specials, or other offers.
