Good morning,

As we head toward next month's observances of National Family Caregivers Month and National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, our team thanks the countless individuals and organizations that have worked so hard to bring awareness, advocacy and needed solutions to these important areas of health and health care.

Best Practice Caregiving (BPC) lives at the unique intersection of these two areas, having been created so that organizations can more effectively help the 16 million family caregivers in America who care for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other dementias.

The 44 programs in the BPC database represent the top dementia caregiving programs in the U.S. Each is proven, vetted and ready for replication.

We believe that one of the best ways to thank our peers who have put so much effort into developing these programs is to help expand the programs' reach so they can serve even more caregivers. To this end, every BPC program profile contains manuals, resources and training info to make replication and implementation easy and streamlined.

In this issue, we highlight REACH Community, a BPC program that has been implemented at more than 57 delivery sites including area agencies on aging, senior centers and centers on aging, among others. We also spotlight an important, not-to-miss feature of the database: the Compare feature.

Finally, we offer you the chance to directly help us improve the BPC site. Two minutes of your time will assist us in making a better site for you and your peers — and advance our mission to serve more dementia caregivers with high-quality, proven programs.

Thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

The Best Practice Caregiving Team
