Bonnie MacBird is a best-selling author. This is the second in the Sherlock Holmes trilogy. The first Art in the Blood has been translated into 17 languages and is a best-seller in 5 countries. Bonnie has a BA in Music and a MA in Film from Stanford.
Bonnie will also be talking about the research it takes to write a best-selling Sherlock Holmes series in the style of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  She is the original writer of the film Tron which won three Emmy Awards.

"What MacBird has done best, which is what makes her take on the series work, is that she understands the narrative. John Watson is telling the story and he's telling it like he's always done. MacBird could possibly be Conan Doyle reincarnated..." - Crime Squad

"Unquiet Spirits is one of the best I've read in my four decades of reading - and writing about - pastiches, and I can't wait for Devil's Due; I hope that [Bonnie MacBird] writes as many more Homes novels as as [she] wants to. - Lenny Picker, Publisher's Weekly.

Unquiet Spirits has been featured as one of the top 5 fiction books from  Book from Scotland.

" [...]fun and action-focussed with some Gothic overtones and, like the first Downey movie, features one of my favourite tropes: Holmes vs. The Supernatural."-Ardy The Baker Street Babes

"Holmes and Watson are on fine form once again in Bonnie MacBird's gripping and beautifully written Unquiet Spirits"- Hugh Fraser, actor and author.

Check out this interesting article from  Catedevinewriter and l isten to Bonnie speak about her book in the engaging interview with Janice Forsyth for  BBC Radio Scotland  (interview starts 1:05:30).
