Boomers & Beyond
Brooklyn Neighborhood Spring Tour
Tuesday March 5, 2019

Hello, Boomers! Spring is just around the corner. Time for us to hit the road for our first event of the year. This is the one you have been asking for – a tour of the homeland – Brooklyn! We are going to see it all. The tour includes a visit to Brooklyn Heights and a walk along the famous Promenade overlooking Manhattan. We’ll visit Truman Capote’s home, Flatbush Avenue past the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Barclays Center, Grand Army Plaza, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the original location of Ebbets Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers once played and a drive through beautiful neighborhoods like Park Slope and Windsor Terrace. Movie locations on the tour include The Godfather, Moonstruck, As Good As It Gets, Dog Day Afternoon and many more. Included in the day’s activities is lunch at Junior’s, one of Brooklyn’s most famous eateries. This is a full sit-down lunch with a half sandwich, fries and soft drink. Dessert is included and consists of a slice of Junior’s famous cheesecake and a vanilla or chocolate egg cream. Read More and RSVP By March 1
Deliver a Smile with Sisterhood’s Purim Fundraiser!

Every Purim, Bet Torah Sisterhood offers members the opportunity to participate in the mitzvah of sending gifts (Shalach Manot) to family and friends. By ‘sponsoring’ Purim gift baskets for other Bet Torah families, you will be supporting this important fundraiser that funds Sisterhood programs throughout the year.

The gift bags will be full of delicious nut-free treats, including
Hamantashen, groggers, candy and more.

Every member should have received an email with a personal code and login instructions to place your Shalach Manot orders. Simply log on to bettorah.happypurim.com

**We will be assembling the Shalach Manot baskets in the library on
Friday, March 1 starting at 10 am and Sunday, March 3.
