Beta Gamma Sigma Host Virtual Ceremony for 2020 Inductees
Beta Gamma Sigma hosted its induction ceremony via Blackboard Collaborate on April 17 with ten students and two honorees joining the international business honors society.

The virtual ceremony recognized and celebrated the achievement of business students in the top 10% of undergraduate students, the top 20% of graduate students and some of the most accomplished business practitioners. This year the chapter selected Mr. Martin Brittian, Assistant Provost at Texas A&M University- Kingsville and Dr. Thomas Webb Russell,son of the late Ralph C. Russell and retired chemist as chapter honorees.

Texas A&M University- Kingsville's Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter was established in 2018. Since then, membership invitations have been extended to 86 undergraduate and graduate students and 6 business practitioners to be members. Click Here to View Ceremony Program
College utilizes Blackboard Collaborate during time of " social distancing"
The college was well prepared to complete the transition to remote learning. We remain focused in maintaining engagement opportunities and while still following social distancing guidelines.

  • Student Professional Development Program continues online, the college conducted the in person workshop as scheduled on April 7th via Blackboard Collaborate. Erica Hammett, Campus Recruiter for Ernest & Young, LLP served as the guest presenter in sharing with our students key elements that need to be included in seeking employment. 35 business students participated in the virtual event.

  • Faculty host daily virtual information systems in both English and Spanish. The meetings provide students and their families direct access to business faculty to answer any questions regarding majors, class details and pathways to your future career.   • College faculty, staff and students continue to meet monthly to discuss policy, curriculum, innovation and implementation strategies. Student Leadership Board, Faculty and Staff, and faculty committees will continue to meet this way until further notice.

Forum analyzes challenges and opportunities
College faculty and staff attended the 1st CLADEA Global Forum on April 21 via Zoom. The virtual event addressed the current COVID-19 situation. Presenters from North America, Europe and Latin America shared challenges business schools are facing at this time and offered key insight on strategies for academic quality, disruption and innovation.
