Whoever knew…
that the house we bought 24 years ago had ledges? You know the ones you decorated lo’ those many years ago but promptly forgot about. There are ledges above the kitchen cabinets too. I remembered those but conveniently forgot about them until the dust came wafting down. I don’t want you to extrapolate from this that I am a lousy housekeeper. Just sayin’ there are things that slip by, that you don’t realize until you get the wake-up call. So it is with being back in the Beth El sanctuary, back with the Rabbi and Laurie, back in person, seeing each other after a year of isolation, enjoying the food and friends at our Onegs. We are fortunate over these many years to have had such devoted volunteers, that we have had sound leadership, that we have had congregants who have sustained us through it all, office managers who have done so much for so many, and now another new Board of Trustees to carry us into the future. I finally woke up…A simple “Thank you” doesn’t seem adequate but it will have to do. Thank you!

— Sunday, August 8, 10:00. Your elbow grease is needed! We are going to polish our beautiful Torah silver for the holidays. It has been 2 years since we last had the opportunity to prepare for the Holidays by caring for the intricate yads, breastplates and crowns from our Ark, and I know our TLC is needed. As you can see from past years, before and after.
This is a lovely contemplative hands-on way to begin the High Holiday season. All supplies provided. Please rsvp your interest to Paula Klausner, 904-543-2402 or poopsiek@gmail.com
