Tuesday, May 18th the office will be closed in observance of Shavuot.
If you would like to attend services in person, please read the following guidelines.
- We will have limited seating at 24 people per service.
- Those observing a Yahrzeit will be given first priority.
- Masks will be worn by every person walking into Beth El. Low volume singing is allowed.
- We will allow fully vaccinated attendees (bring vaccination card 2 weeks after the final shot as proof) to sit together without social distancing restrictions. This will only be needed once.
- For all other attendees, we will be adhering to the CDC's protocol on social distancing.
- Please see the attached questionnaire below. If you exhibit any of these symptoms, please do not request a seat.
- Please email Elissa by Thursday, May 20th by noon at the link below to reserve a seat for this Shabbat, May 21st and 22nd.
- You will need to arrive between 6:30 pm to 6:50 pm, for Friday night services. For the Saturday morning service, you need to arrive between 9:30 am to 9:50 am. We will not interrupt the service to let people in. Please allow time to have your temperature taken. Doors will be locked at 6:50 pm on Friday evening and 9:50 am on Saturday morning.

Simple thing like cleaning the box fan (that helps me sleep, I wish!) has become such a project…taking it apart…no big deal. Putting back together, no big deal. Then I thought (scary, to be sure) we have another box fan (at the ready) in a different closet, so I might as well clean that one too. Took that one apart. No big deal also, but this one has a detachable cord. Uh, I can’t find it. Then I tore apart that closet looking for the cord. As long as I’m looking for the cord I might as well clean that closet also. I started all of this at 6:30 in the morning and now it’s noontime. But wait…I will contact the company of that missing detachable box cord. Success. The company didn’t have the cord in stock but gave me the part number and a site that had it available. Called them but they said the part number given to me was a electric lawn mower cord. Back to the original company in Manila at 4:30 (their time) in the morning with this really nice customer service rep. Will have the cord via FedEx in a couple of days.
Compared to this, attending Shabbat service is so easy!

For everyone who has missed our weekly Yoga Shalom, and newcomers, too! Every Wednesday, at 10:30, Cantor Lisa Levine and our DVD teacher, have created a yoga practice just for us. It seemed pretty gentle but I was definitely warm at the end! You can use your mat or your chair. Elaine Bergstrom will be Zooming this practice.
