So Long In The Planning

We have, for years, talked about an Australia trip, finally taking the plunge and are right in the middle of it. Just so I don't forget all the details later on, let me get this off my chest. 5 days of a sinus infection, limiting exploring, sleeping, eating, followed by Lew's Pentax camera breakage, and the shanda of all shandas, burning a bagel in the microwave at 6:30 in the morning, followed by the potential of an evacuation of the hotel when the Sydney fire department shows up. So much for planning, but we have a couple of days left. No telling what can happen....but, it is still an adventure. It is so much easier to be involved with the synagogue than what we are doing! Join a committee of your choice....obviously, for one, the Membership Committee could use your steadying influence!

P.S. Obviously, we are not allowing Lew on the Membership Committee as he can be hazardous to one's health. Seriously, who lights a bagel on fire?

SUPPER CLUB

The May supper club will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019 at Nona Blue Restaurant located in the Sawgrass shopping center in Ponte Vedra Beach.

We have a private room and due to the small capacity of the room, seating is limited to the first 18 people who respond. A waiting list will begin after that number is reached.

The Social Action committee is asking for help to stock The Heart Cart at Wolfson Children's Hospital. Items collected are offered free of charge to children and families during their stay in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Help support local families by dropping off your donated items at Beth El.

In addition to the below items, they are also collecting non-perishable items such as; deodorant, pens, tissues, nail files, feminine products, hair ties, bath towels, shaving cream and razors.
