SHIVA ANGELS

In times of need, we are here for you. We do this for one another…words and deeds of consolation for our Beth El family. What moves you also moves others. Please join us knowing that by helping with a meal of condolence in some small way you’ve eased the burden at such a difficult time. If you want to be part of this, please contact the Beth El office, and join this band of Angels.

Genetics

plays such a outsized role in one’s life. Take my older sister…she’s a natural brunette with red highlights and freckles (our grandmother with her freckles and flaming red hair set the stage). So this sister buys 12 boxes of a different hair color (should last a year), decides she doesn’t like the color and buys 12 boxes of the old color. Over-the-top you might say. Hmmm…I know someone with the same tendencies! Take the congregation. Genetics seem to have invaded our very souls. There is true Caring, there is true Community, there is the truth of Beth El. We really do care. Genetics? No, simply really, really caring people. I’m honored to be a member.

Yoga Shalom is on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Yoga Shalom is for everyone, regardless of their level of yoga experience or physical abilities. It will help you relax your body, calm your mind, strengthen your body, enhance your flexibility, and nurture your spirit. It can be practiced on a mat or in a chair. Yoga Shalom is a spiritual and physical journey, guided by a sequence of traditional Hebrew morning prayers and beautiful music with Cantor Lisa Levine, choreographed to yoga postures, led via DVD by Lisa Levine and Carol Krucoff. Contact Barbara Hood, [email protected] for any questions about Yoga Shalom.

Bone Builders meets via Zoom on Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30 - 10:15 AM. Contact Bobby at [email protected] for the link.

After yoga and a short break, at 11:30 am, Gail Greenfield will present a course in Jewish Meditation, followed by a period of meditation. You are welcome to attend both or either of these offerings. These are offered in partnership with Beth El Sisterhood and Beth El Adult Education at no charge. Contact Gail at [email protected] with any questions about the meditation program and to RSVP
