Jewish Geography
Just thinking (scary thought, I know) about ancestory, my family, Lew's, yours. So here goes. My grandparents, one born in Frankfurt Au Main, 3 born in Chicago..all mine traveled down the Mississippi to St. Louis, then Memphis (with cousins branching out to Little Rock and Pine Bluff, Arkansas)...Lew's grandparents, one born in Latvia, one in Sweden(?), two in Mogilev/Yukhnov, Russia (somewhere on the Dneiper), no one seems to have any records in these cities. My grandparents...Jesselson, Salomon, Bamberger, Weil. Lew's grandparents...Dragilev, Belkin, Smith (?), and the last one we don't know. Somehow we have to keep these stories. Sitting across the dinner table Saturday night at our monthly Supper club, I met a possible Weil cousin! Any other relatives out there that I don't know about? How neat is this!
