Update…

Personally, landscaping done. Thank goodness. I have no clue about plants and shrubs and just wanted it done. My mom could take all kinds of stuff, put them in the windows, and things would sprout all year long. Me…I put it in the window and overwater, underwater, talk to these poor things, but nothing matters. They never lasted more than a month. Oh well. I just get to leave that to others so much more talented than I. Beth El is blessed with talent. See it during Shabbat services when we come together to celebrate our new “coming of age” teens, our celebrations for Purim and Hanukkah and all those creative minds showing their artistry, Sisterhood’s Social Action supporting P.V.H.S’s WOW Club Dignity Initiative, our Ritual Committee’s thoughtful and meaningful inclusions in our services, our Burn the Mortgage celebration and the talent that got us to this joyous occasion. So much going on…Beth El is blessed with talent!

Yoga Shalom will resume Wednesday, October 12th at 10:00am. Yoga Shalom is for everyone, regardless of their level of yoga experience or physical abilities. It will help you relax your body, calm your mind, strengthen your body, enhance your flexibility, and nurture your spirit. It can be practiced on a mat or in a chair. Yoga Shalom is a spiritual and physical journey, guided by a sequence of traditional Hebrew morning prayers and beautiful music with Cantor Lisa Levine, choreographed to yoga postures, led via DVD by Lisa Levine and Carol Krucoff. Contact Barbara Hood, barbarahood394@gmail.com for any questions about Yoga Shalom.

After yoga and a short break, at 11:30am, Gail Greenfield will present a course in Jewish Meditation, followed by a period of meditation. You are welcomed to attend both or either of these offerings. These are offered in a partnership with Beth El Sisterhood and Beth El Adult Education at no charge. Contact Gail at gailsgreenfield@gmail.com with any questions about the meditation program and to RSVP
