This is turning out to be autobiographical...hmmm....not what I had intended....but, here goes anyway! As you know I grew up in the ("deep" to me) South, married at 20 to Lew (my Brooklyn born, Long Island transplanted) husband, moved to Queens, and there, my education began. Jewish policemen, Jewish cabdrivers...I was incredulous! Such a snob or just way too privileged! Preconceived notions. Met all of Lew's friends...one wanted to know if we had had an outhouse in the back yard..the same one wanted me to speak so he could make fun of my accent. Lived in N.Y. for 5 years, N.J. for 29 years, then moved here. Went to work where all my co-workers asked me to slow down my speech, because I talked "Yankee"! Okay, one day I will get it right! Moral....we are all the same.....we all have stories to tell. Let's tell them all.

New Playground Equipment!! What a great way to start 2019! Yes, within just a couple of weeks the children will be playing on the new playground set!! A generous congregant would like us to remember and honor the eleven lives that were lost in the Tree of Life shooting. These brothers and sisters that died will be honored through the laughter and enjoyment of our children. The plaque will read:

You can love me best by letting hands touch hands, by letting bodies touch bodies,

and by letting go of children that need to be free. Love doesn't die, people do.
