On March 31, 33 people from 10 families crowded into my (not that large) living room/dining room/staircase and enjoyed a raucous, joyous Erev Shabbat.

Dear Members,

When I first went into teaching some two decades ago, my colleagues would tell me how stressed they were. To that I would reply, “If you think this is stressful, you should spend some time in business.” I have come to reconsider my response and, yes, I must admit that post COVID, our profession has become more stressful.

Isaac Lester

Isaac Lester will be called to the torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Isaac is the son of Barrett and Mary Lester. He lives in Norwalk, CT with his parents and his cat Zane. Isaac is a 7^th grader at Nathan Hale Middle school. He likes all his subjects at school, but his favorite ones are math and science.

Rabbi Paskind (RP): Please introduce us to your family.  

Judy & Barry: We have two adult children and 4 grandchildren. Our son’s family lives in Greenwich and our daughter’s family are in Portland, Oregon. Our grandson will become a Bar Mitzvah in Portland on May 6!

Kesher 5th graders checking out our Holocaust Torah with teacher, Rhonda Ginsberg. Rhonda and her husband, Larry, were instrumental in bringing the Torah to Beth El.
