Greetings,

Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened."

We prayed and prayed and prayed and God provided! He has once again shown His faithfulness. He is always faithful! We are thrilled to share that WE HAVE HIRED FIVE STAFF FOR THE NEW HOUSE MOM ROLE! The staff in this role will assist residents with obtaining goals, maintain the structure of the program, and oversee the day-to-day functioning of our home. We are only a couple shifts short of 24/7 coverage! We are confident that this new team will provide the dedicated support the moms and babies that we serve need in their lives.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you that support Bethesda House with prayer and financial help, making this possible.

NEW PROJECT: PLAY AREA PHASE ONE COMPLETE

We would like to extend a tremendous THANK YOU to the Respect Life Committee at Holy Family Duxbury (and to Jim Murphy as well for doing ALL the leg work) for blessing the moms and babies at Bethesda House with a new playground area!

Phase 1 (pictured) is the preparation of the play area, now complete. Phase 2 is to add a new piece of playground equipment. Phase 3 is to lay turf and finally Phase 4 is to surround the area with a fence. This special space on our property will provide hours of fresh air and fun to the little ones we serve here at Bethesda House!

The Tri-Town Rotary Club of Hanover, Norwell and Pembroke awarded Bethesda House with a generous donation! We appreciate your ongoing support!

-- Paula McDonnell loved being a mother and was committed to her family! Please utilize this donation however you see fit to assist the mothers and children you serve. May peace be with you all and the your beautiful mission!

VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSIONS

There are numerous ways you can use your God-given talents to support Bethesda House. To provide direct care to our moms and babies, we require that you attend one of our three-hour training sessions. Come familiarize yourself with our organization, our mission, and the various ways you can support Bethesda House. Feel free to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session for registration and coffee.

All sessions take place at First Baptist Duxbury, 2 Tremont St., Duxbury. Space is limited. Please be sure to register ahead of time. We look forward to you joining us!

Request to All Current Volunteers-- Attend a VIRTUAL Refresher

At Bethesda House, policies and procedures are constantly changing. In order for us to best support the moms and babies, it is imperative that active volunteers remain on the same page.

We are offering refresher sessions virtually for those volunteers trained more than one year ago. Please select from the following options:

1: Register for one of the scheduled VIRTUAL refreshers:

-- Thur. September 14th 9:30 – 10:30am

-- Thur. September 14th 7:00 – 8:00pm

2: We understand that life is busy and that interests change but we hope that you will continue to support Bethesda House in other ways.

Let us know that you are no longer interested/able to volunteer at Bethesda House. Please email [email protected] to let us know that we should remove you from our volunteer alert lists.
