The need is great, but our GOD is GREATER!

Our God-Sized Goal!

We have started our AMBITIOUS Capital Campaign to raise $5 million in order to build a new multifunctional facility as our mission and outreach center. It will have a space for worship, that is rearrangeable for basketball games and fun events! An elevator will connect this new building to the existing building and school to make us handicap accessible. Won't you join us in this endeavor to reach MORE people in North St. Louis??

You can donate by clicking here: DONATE to BLC

Turkey Time! Epiphany in the city gave turkeys, Resurrection donated a 100 bags of sides with gift cards for turkeys.

Lord of Life donated 40 bags of sides, 12 more turkeys & boxes of kids snacks for our weekly EAC Programs. We ALWAYS need more snacks! Thank you!!

Then this BLC group went to Concordia Kirkwood where cute little helpers loaded our vans with 50 boxes of sides and 50 turkeys. The members at Concordia were assembling 1,000 boxes of sides to give away that weekend! What a labor of love!!

Finally, City of God donated 50 Turkey Plates from Calliers Catering and

Championship Catering! Our BLC Family is grateful for all these delicious turkey meals

The “Lords Giving” event at BLC was a huge success! Fellowship for congregation members and an important outreach for those who perhaps had no table to sit at this Thanksgiving season. Congregation members/volunteers cooked and served food all afternoon. Special thanks to Ms. Z and Ms. Q for organizing!

These ladies made a delicious meal!

Lots of turkey, sides and desserts for everyone!

Their shirts said, "Psalm 107:8-9 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love & his wonderful deeds for mankind,

for he satisfies the thirsty & fills the hungry with good things."

Bethlehem released its Board approved Vision Statement that expresses our goals, plans, and actions for the future. We believe that God is calling us as a Church to pour into other communities and spaces, and to enlarge the Kingdom of God on earth by building healthy urban ministries and leaders in communities like ours. We cannot wait to share more with you about how this looks in the coming years and how you can connect with this vision!

EAC Evening Programs

Did you know that we have EAC Evening Programs at FOUR different locations in North St. Louis? For 11 years now, that is where students can come and enjoy 2 hours of Bible stories, prayer, do a craft about the Bible story, enjoy a delicious supper, and have fun playing games 3-5 nights a week!

We serve about 80 students between the

4 locations, and we need YOU!

Leading this group is Linda Loewenstein from Resurrection Lutheran Church. She and her group have been faithfully coming every other week on Wednesday nights for several years to help at our Chapel of the Cross location. We also have Amy and her crew from, Zion Harvester that come every Tuesday night. We have more sites that need assistance! If your church wants to send a group up North to help lead a camp that would be SUCH a BLESSING! You can come weekly, once or twice a month, or 6 times a year. We have the lessons and crafts ready to go!

Contact our Director of Programs Seminarian Chris Knepper at [email protected] to join our EAC volunteer team! Email Chris!

How do we feed that many students? GREAT QUESTION!!!!!! It's not easy, that's for sure! Do you like to cook? Ladies-- can your group of women have a cooking day? We ALWAYS need large pans of: Spaghetti and meatballs, mac-n-cheese, chicken alfredo, or lasagna. To go with any of those: Bags of French bread, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, and ranch dressing. Additionally, bags of taco meat and then hard and soft taco shells, nacho chips and salsa are great! We need about 8 pans a night to feed 80-90 kids. Men's Groups - can you BBQ 100 hamburgers for us??

Can you bake pans of spaghetti & meatballs?

Kids love chicken alfredo

and please bake them

in disposable tins

We can re-warm any casserole dish like mostaccioli

ALWAYS fresh fruit is a gift: apples, grapes, cuties, strawberries, and baby carrots. We have an endless need for paper plates, forks, napkins, juice pouches, bags of chips and cookies. You can freeze the pans of food and drop them off or we can arrange a pick up if you have a load for us. Contact Chris Knepper at [email protected]

and THANK YOU for supporting our outreach to children!! Email Chris!

Don't like to cook?

Buy us some snacks! We have an ENDLESS need for snacks like granola bars, fruit cups,

Jello cups, applesauce cups, yogurt cups, beef jerky sticks, bags of chips and cookies.

Did you know our “Anchors” mentor program assigns 2-5 adults to each youth as they grow? Our “Bridge” program assigns two older adults to a young adult as well. Our Mentees thanked their mentors and fellowshipped with them. Thanks to everyone who helped us make the Banquet a success—and special thanks to our amazing youth leaders Cherelle Hamilton and Sherri Bass!
