Supportive Housing Trainings
Housing is an important social driver of health and arguably the leverage point for all other whole-person interventions. Yet the complex systems of housing, homelessness, and healthcare can be difficult to navigate. Our Better At Home campaign aims to help increase provider competency surrounding community living and tenancy supports through monthly trainings. Below are the class offerings for November 2021.
November 10, 2021, 10:30- 11:30
Landlord/Tenant Rights and Responsibilities

November 17, 10:30- 11:30
Strategies for Working with Property Managers:

Previous trainings are also accessible online.
Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) Office Hours
Tenancy Support & Housing Stabilization

Through ongoing consultation services with Alliance Health, CSH makes an open forum available to ACT and CST staff as you support clients' housing retention. The forum provides a way for staff to have open dialogue and learn about areas of need for high-acuity clients, and offers relevant resources and strategies to assist teams in their housing and tenancy support to clients.

The office hours take place monthly on the third Thursday of each month, 10–11 am.

Contact [email protected] for questions and information.
Independent Living Initiative (ILI) Housing Trainings

This training covers the criteria and eligibility requirements for Independent Living Initiative housing funds and is intended for providers whose consumers may need financial assistance to prevent homelessness. Participants will be guided through the online application process. At the end of the training, providers will be able to apply for ILI housing assistance on behalf of their clients. This training is also useful for those who are already registered in the database but would like a refresher course.

Supportive Housing Q&A

Housing and tenancy supports can be complicated to navigate. Please join Alliance Health's Supportive Housing Q&A every other Friday for the opportunity to ask questions, address barriers, and provide strategies to support tenancy for our members.

Upcoming sessions: November 5 and 19 from 9–10 am. Bring your questions and we’ll do our best to answer them!
