At NCE, safety is more than a priority—it’s a culture. Recently, the co-op hosted a live line demonstration to strengthen community members' understanding of electrical safety.
Led by Safety and Compliance Coordinator Mike Stahl and Lineman Clint Wurm, the demonstration aimed to inform attendees about best practices when faced with everyday electrical hazards. The hands-on presentation offered participants a unique opportunity to observe potential “what if” scenarios in a controlled environment, enhancing their understanding of safe practices around
power lines.
“As we approach our daily tasks, we are constantly thinking about keeping the general public safe,” Stahl said. “These demonstrations help educate the public about the hazards of electricity and what the cooperative does on a day-to-day basis to ensure safety.”
