April is lineworker appreciation month!

The job of a lineworker is more than setting poles and running power lines; they have to learn the intricacies of the electric grid, climb poles, restore outages, and spend thousands of hours training and learning about their career.

April is Lineworker Appreciation Month, and we're excited to celebrate and honor our NCE lineworkers.

Rain or shine, day or night, lineworkers brave challenging conditions to ensure the lights stay on. Their dedication is nothing short of extraordinary and a testament to their commitment to powering our local communities.

If you post a thank-you note on our Facebook page, we can share the gratitude with all of our lineworkers!

February outage report

NCE experienced six outages in February, with the majority caused by equipment issues.

A number of factors can affect how long your power is out during an outage, including the extent of the damage, the number of people out, and the spread of outages across our system. That's why there's a set process for restoring power followed by our line crews to get the lights back on as quickly and safely as possible.
