Diedrick, Dumperth join LMRE board of trustees
|
|
Following the 2022 Lorain-Medina Rural Electric annual meeting, districts 3 and 9 welcomed new representatives on the LMRE board of trustees.
Rick Dumperth, a resident of Chatham Township, joined the board after winning the District 9 election held prior to the annual meeting. Previously serving as the chairman of the LMRE People Fund, Dumperth replaced longtime board member Richard Indoe, who retired from the board in June.
District 3 is now represented by Ken Diedrick, a Carlisle Township resident, who was appointed to the board in July after no members in District 3 submitted a petition to run for the open board seat. Diedrick previously served as the District 3 representative from 1980-2016, when he moved to the People Fund board for over six years. He is replacing Kathy Fox, who also retired from the board in June.

Co-op Outage Report - June
|
LMRE experienced 64 outages in June, the majority occurring during the storms that hit our service area the week of June 14. Many of the outages were caused by damaged lines and equipment from fallen trees and branches.
During a major storm event, outages can last much longer than anyone anticipates, especially if your area is hit with significant damage. During these times, our line crews work long hours, and crews from other cooperatives may be called in to provide additional assistance. Everyone here at LMRE appreciates the patience and understanding from our members during these situations and the kindness you show our line crews as they work.

Meet Financial Analyst Lynndsie Stahl
|
Financial Analyst Lynndsie Stahl joined the cooperative two years ago, taking on the responsibility of calculating the cost of providing electric service to the membership based on use and financial data and forecasting total system kilowatt-hours and cost to budget appropriately for power expenses.
For her, working at the cooperative means that she can look out for the interests of all the members to help provide the best possible rates. Stahl calls it an honor to work for the members and our communities, providing reliable service at competitive rates.
"I love that I am part of an incredible team that I can present options to that best suit our members while still collecting costs," Stahl said. "I live in the co-op's territory, so I can think from a member's perspective as well as co-op employee."
