Here are the new features in this version:

1. This version has a new easier to use interface.
2. Paging through the app is smoother and faster than the previous version, for a better user experience.
3. Because you asked... we restored the restaurant filter. Now you can sort the restaurants by dairy/meat and see only mehadrin restaurants. Choose the city and then filter.
4. We have added Google Pay to the payment methods. You can now pay for coupons either with your credit card, Paypal, or Google Pay.
5. Some credit card companies have restored the requirement for a CVV number. We have restored this field on the app and the website for cards that now require it.
6. Version 7.0.5 is space-saving. This version is smaller than the previous version, liberating space on your phone.

Adraba Restaurant on eLuna

When I asked the eLuna community to recommend their favorite restaurant in Eilat, the name Adraba kept coming up. So I touched base with owner Shlomi, an old friend from the happy world of restaurants. How good it is to renew old friendships.

Shlomi brings his Yerushalmi heritage to this Eilat restaurant. When a Jerusalem soul meets an Eilat state of mind, a little magic happens. Start with the "Agrippas salad" a fresh-from-the-market salad- as in the Machane Yehuda market. The "Columns of the Kardo" grilled vegetables salad, taking us back to the days of the Beit Hamikdash. 

Choose from a long list of grilled shipudim (skewers) like the grilled pargit in Jerusalem marinade, the no-frills burger or the high-end steak platters. Adraba brings folks together to share meals like the lamb stew from Savta's table in the Katamonim.

The wonderful Piccolino Restaurant in the Jerusalem Music center is closing its doors at the end of October. Piccolino is a Jerusalem landmark. The restaurant has been serving our community for decades, from its opening in the Anna Ticho house by mother Nava. Not just a restaurant, the folks at Piccolino have taught us the meaning of hospitality. From Piccolino we learned about hessed for our soldiers, for the needy, all for the genuine love of Am Yisrael. It has been our honor to work with you. We will miss you greatly.
Please visit Piccolino in the next two weeks to say farewell and wish these remarkable people all the best.

The name MarCheshvan has nothing to do with bitterness.

The ancient Persian word for the number 8 is "Marchashta", and since this is the 8th month, that is where the name came from.

(Most of the names of the Jewish months are Persian in origin.)
