Flood Report
"It's critical that Vermonters be aware of their surroundings, be vigilant, and plan ahead....I know we'll get through this by working together." So said VT Gov Scott in his press conference Monday with Senators Sanders and Welch and Rep. Balint. Those affected by the flood can get up to $82,000 in federal funds. 1927 VT Flood
Check out rare silent footage of the Nov 3-4, 1927 catastrophe in which 84 died, including Lt. Gov. Jackson. Hundreds were injured, and 1,285 bridges were lost in what was until now the state's worst disaster. Damages back then hit $35 million. Adjusted for inflation, that's $500 million.

Lighting the Hub
Twenty-three Upper Valley VT towns now have high-speed internet thanks to ECFiber. The 15-year project celebrated its completion with this June 27 event in White River. Upgraded towns include Hartford, Norwich, Thetford, and Woodstock. "The vision [behind this] was not about profit. It was about community," said speaker VT Sen. Welch.
