District News
Tik Tok Challenges
As you may be aware, a list of monthly Tik Tok "challenges" surfaced during the week on the internet and in the news.

The challenges encourage students to post evidence of assault, vandalism, and/or theft on Tik Tok. These actions will not be tolerated and will be punishable in accordance with the student code of conduct and the law.

This type of behavior does not represent the desired character of our Bexley students, nor will it be tolerated. Please have a conversation with your child about respecting, their peers, their teachers, and their school. We appreciate your partnership as we look to maintain a positive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Job Openings
We have immediate openings in the following positions:
  • School Psychologist
  • Full-time aides
  • 4-hour substitute custodian

The application links are posted at https://www.bexleyschools.org/EmploymentOpportunities.aspx. Please share these openings with those who may be interested!
A Call for Substitutes
We are still searching for qualified substitute teachers and classified staff members.

Our substitute teacher pay rate is now $150 a day.

Any substitute teachers currently subbing through the Educational Service Center (ESCCO), can email substitute@escco.org to request to be a substitute at Bexley City Schools.

If you are not a current sub teacher through the ESCCO, you can easily apply to become one! You need to hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject and complete the application process through the ESCCO. The application and the four steps to becoming a substitute can be found here: https://www.escco.org/Stepstobecomeasubstitute.aspx. We understand the sign-up process is lengthy. Please contact the district if you have questions or need help.

We are also looking for classified substitutes (custodians, cooks, secretaries, etc.).

If you are interested in becoming a substitute for one of these positions, please email Karla Croswell (karla.croswell@bexley.us) or call the district office (614-231-7611).

Health & Safety
Proper Mask Practices
As the weather gets colder and we begin to spend more time indoors, it is important that students continue to properly wear their masks in the hallways and classrooms. Please remind your children that masks need to cover their mouths and noses while inside the school buildings.

As a reminder, we require masks in all school buildings, not just during but also before and after school. This went into effect on Monday, September 20. Masks must be properly worn by visitors to our school buildings both before and after regular school-day hours, for all indoor events, programs, meetings, and other activities, with the exception of student-athletes actively participating in their event.
Our Covid-19 Dashboard will appear on https://www.bexleyschools.org/COVID19.aspx and be updated every Thursday.
