Your gift to Sedona Public Library is always a wise investment.

Double Your Money
on April 7!
It's just around the corner. We are again participating in the national day of giving for Libraries: Library Giving Day is on April 7. Thanks to a very generous donor, your gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000! Last year our match grew from the original $20,000 up to $27,000 as your support poured in. The 2020 campaign total was $54,216. Thank you! Let's top it this year! Please consider showing your support and doubling your investment when you make a gift on April 7. Stay tuned!
February Featured Donor:
Rotary Club of Sedona
Rotary Club of Sedona is February's spotlight donor. Al Barton, president of the Club (pictured at left with Mayor Sandy Moriarty), appreciates that "Both organizations focus on literacy as a way to make our world and community a better place." In 2014, the Club began making a gift to our Youth Services collection. They then honor their guest speakers with a children's book plated in the speaker's name. Viviane Kraus, Youth Services Librarian, says the Library bought 43 books with last year's contribution. She chooses books in line with the Club's areas of service including peace and conflict prevention/resolution and environmental sustainability. Barton says, "Our speakers are honored to have their names placed in the books." We are honored to be part of this meaningful and important community partnership. Thank you, Rotary Cub of Sedona!
Fill the Box with Sox!
This year we're turning national Library Lovers month on its head, because we want everyone to know we love you instead! Goodie bags will be available on Fridays, including a $5 coupon toward fees, and we're offering free replacement library cards. Most importantly, we're supporting more vulnerable populations by asking you to "Help Us Fill the Box with Sox!" Please consider a contribution of new socks (preferably mens, large, white or plain) and help us fill the box by February 28 to donate to Sedona Area Homeless Alliance. Come on by either location, or use our holds pick up program to drop off your socks. Thank you!
Tax-Aide Service at the Library
by Appointment
Struggling with questions about claiming your donations? Feeling uncertain about itemizing deductions? There's lots of concerns, especially this year. But our local volunteers from the AARP Foundation are here to help! Free Tax-Aide assistance is available now through April 16! And unlike previous years, services are by appointment only. Please stop by to pick up your Tax-Aide packet and then call (928) 793-3346 to schedule your appointment.
Special Reminder: Your gifts to Sedona Public Library ARE tax deductible, and with the CARES ACT, there is a one time federal deduction of up to $300 for cash gifts made to charitable organizations (like the Library). However, Sedona Public Library is NOT a Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) in Arizona. Please see your tax advisor for further information. Our EIN is 86-6028627.
