Library Giving Day
Thank you for making the first annual Library Giving Day a success! We are one of 200 libraries in the U.S. that took this opportunity to ask our communities to support all we do, and you stepped up to the plate! Thanks to 115 of you who made donations that were matched dollar for dollar - up to a total match of $20,000 - by two generous donors! With the match, we raised $40,000 towards Library programs, services, and more! Thank you! Thanks also to Rayna Griffin and Brenda Cosé who provided artisan bookmarks for $50+ donors. WOW!
Thanks Everyone!

Donor Spotlight: 129 NEW DONORS in FIVE MONTHS!
Thanks to 129 new donors who have come on board in one - or both - of our last two fundraising campaigns. Your support makes a huge difference. We are an independent, 501c3, private, non-profit organization providing a public service. We receive support from the City of Sedona, property tax dollars from Yavapai and Coconino Counties, and gifts from businesses, foundations, and individuals like you, as well as Friends of the Sedona Library. But it takes a lot to provide our collection, services, exhibits, and programs, year round, and most FOR FREE, as well as to maintain our gorgeous White Bear Road facility and our convenient Village of Oak Creek location. We do it all for you, and we could not do it without you! To learn more about our services, please see our 2018 Annual Report. Thank you!
Did You Know?
Libraries are the best place for curious people, young and old alike. Did you know that we have an age-old rubber band ball that attracts curious kids - and adults - every day? The curious ask: 'How many rubber bands are on there?' 'How did you get them on there?' 'Can I hold it?' Onlookers want to touch it, throw it, and bounce it. Depending on the day, and the onlooker, there is a rumor that two or three bounces might be allowed . . . You never know what interesting and amazing things you'll find in Youth Services. When one young patron was asked: "What's the most interesting thing in the kids' room?" His answer? "Everything!" Sedona Public Library enriches lives by fostering lifelong learning and by ensuring that every member of the community and visitors have access to engaging ideas, information services, and cultural and civic activities.
