Donor Spotlight: Clark's Market!
Dave Miller, Clark's Manager, handing $1603 check, the most recent gift, to Cheryl Yeatts, Manager at Sedona Public Library in the Village
Thank you, Clark's Market, for all you do for local nonprofits!
Thank you to this month's featured donor: Clark's Market! Dave Miller, Manager at Clark's Market in the Village, is the guy behind Sedona's “Non-Profit Mondays” program, and with his leadership, Sedona Public Library has received a total of $4,340 in three campaigns over the last 18 months. The premise is a simple one: Clark's asks their customers, on a given Monday, to drop their shopping receipt(s) into a bin. At the end of the day, Clark's totals the receipts and commits five percent of the total to a designated non-profit orgainization. The program has generated $15,300 for area non-profits so far this year alone. According to Dave, "To be part of a community you have to have shared values. While there are many organizations that can use a helping hand, public libraries impact everyone in a community with their programs." We've directed Clark's gifts to Sedona Public Library in the Village. Cheryl Yeatts, manager at SPL-V, says, "We appreciate the generosity of Clark's Market. Thanks to Dave's team for encouraging shoppers to support the Library in this fun way."

  • Installed acrylic counter shields
  • Installed two new StoryWalk exhibits at Sunset Park
We Asked "What Are You Reading?"
And you told us! Thanks to all of you who shared titles and authors. How fun! You provided some wonderful reviews, too. We're so grateful to continue this conversation, the one we've so often had in the Library. But for now, it's a great item for our newsletter, and we're glad. Thanks again. Let's keep the conversation going. If you're inspired, please send Anne Marie a note about what you're reading. For now, click on the button below to see the Library's very own "good reads"!
Technology Continues to Improve with Your Support
Thank you,
Gordon Reiter!
It's called a "wand;" it looks like an empty picture frame; it has twice won a "Modern Library Award;" and now with support from Gordon Reiter, we officially own a CircTrak. This device that slides between items on the shelf, will help Library staff sort, organize, and maintain our collection, meaning a patron's search for an item on our shelves will be easier and quicker. Thank you Gordon!
Speaking of technology improvements, recent grant awards from CARES and Arizona Community Foundation will soon provide Chromebooks and hotspots available for check out, and improved WiFi throughout the building and in our parking lot in West Sedona. We may not be open normal hours, but we're working as hard as ever!
Library Continues Re-Opening Process
In addition to continuing our Holds Pickup service in West Sedona, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Library is now also open from 2 to 5 p.m. At this time you can browse the collection, check out items, and use computers and Wi-Fi.
At Sedona Public Library in the Village you can pick up holds and use computers and WiFi on Thursday and Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please regularly check your email and our website for updates. Masks and social distancing are required at both locations.
