Donor Spotlight: Baenziger/Durkee
|
Peter Baenziger and Dee Durkee are avid supporters and readers.Their favorite library activity? Checking out books! Peter explained,"We read books the way other people watch television." They appreciate all the Library does for the community, and they take advantage of our recurring gift option. "It's easy to give regularly," Peter said. "We're happy to do it." They met in Michigan, where Dee grew up and Peter landed after a childhood in Switzerland. They came to Sedona in 2003, and in addition to reading, Dee creates fiber art, Peter is officially the house husband, and he loves
Kanopy.
"
He's a great cook," Dee said. Thank you, Peter and Dee, we're glad to have you as supportive members of our community.

Youth Services at Sedona Public Library maintains an abundant collection of 21,000 items ready for children of all ages and parents to browse and to borrow. Did you know that we host an average of seven youth programs every week, consistently attended by over 130 children, parents, and grandparents? It is one of the busiest areas at the Library. Story time, three times a week--including a monthly Spanish version and a Musical Morning with Annette—brings giggles, smiles, and lots of early literacy skill building. If you haven't already, stop by and visit the liveliest areas at YOUR Library, where you'll always find the right book and a smile! Be brave! A hungry T-Rex guards the entrance to the children’s room.
