News from the Asian dance-planting season, 2022
Dear global DUP family,
The Beyond Initiative is a team project with expanding horizons. The past year has been characterised by a well-received Caravan in Türkiye, and events for deepening in the communities of the Middle East.

After 2 and a half months of constant movement, 25 dancing days in 16 different locations in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Maldives and Thailand, we closed with a 3 day camp at Gaia Ashram with delegations from all the countries visited plus future organizers of new countries which will enter the program in 2023 (Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines).
There is an amazing group of talented young dance leaders starting their training and committed to keep the practice alive until next year's activities.
The Dances of Universal Peace have proven to have important medicine for all these countries and are taking root very fast. After four years of work in the Middle East we have strong dance leaders and circles in the region and the first certifications happening.
2023 will see the scaling up of the work in Asia with our first training camp and caravan (Vietnam) and new countries entering the program, plus the first steps of the Beyond Initiative in Africa (starting in the Mediterranean north).
