Russ Guerin Beyond Limits
Triumph Over Adversity

Through a unique collaboration with Atrium Health, the Russ Guerin Beyond Limits program provides specialized post-rehabilitative training to help traumatic injury patients, as well as individuals living with a chronic disease, regain physical abilities. This program serves 50 participants annually. If you'd like more information for you or someone you know that could benefit from this program, contact Dan Moore at Daniel.Moore@ymcacharlotte.org

Volunteer today with Novant Health Hospice. They participate in the national We Honor Veterans hospice partnership—to ensure we are meeting the needs of seriously ill Veterans and their families.

Veteran hospice volunteers are a valuable resource for other veterans at the end of life as they share similar experiences, a common language terminology, cultural bond, and codes of conduct and honor. This allows for the perfect gateway to be opened between Veteran Volunteers and Veterans being cared for by hospice.

If you are a veteran and would like to provide much needed support to our patients and families, please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Misty Santiago at mestroupe@novanthealth.org or
Veteran Volunteers - Thank you!
Thank you to the 30 plus volunteers that gave their time last Thursday January 24th at Second Harvest Food Bank! Not only did we do everything they could give us, we still finished early and had an amazing time doing it.

If you, or you know a Veteran, that wants to meet some new friends, do some good and enjoy some great company, please share and sign up for our volunteer opportunities here. Thanks again from your friends at VBH and Second Harvest!
Veteran of the Month

VBH would like to recognize our fellow Veterans who served and are continuing to serve, their community. Do you know anyone who served, who doesn’t seek attention, but seems like they’re always doing good? This is your opportunity to show them a little love. No matter how young or old, we encourage you to nominate a deserving Veteran today. It could be a family member, spouse, friend, mom or dad.

Veterans will be selected on such factors as community impact and service record. Each month we will select a Veteran who will receive a VBH prize package including a shirt, hat, recognition and more. Selections will be recognized in The Connector and social media channels. They will also be entered in a drawing to receive four (4) free Carolina Panthers tickets to a game during the 2019 season.
