March 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV)— a day where we come together to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of transgender and nonbinary people. With TDOV only two weeks away, I am reaching out to share a resource Beyond Visibility: Assessing Your Transgender and Nonbinary Workplace Inclusion to help you engage in this day of celebration and commitment to transgender and nonbinary inclusion efforts today, and every day. This resource is an extension of Out & Equal’s self-evaluation guide Global Toolkit for Change: Assessing LGBTQI+ Inclusion in Your Workplace – that we released globally last week.

We encourage you to use this resource as a tool to evaluate LGBTQI+ inclusion efforts in your company, identify the areas of improvement, and connect with the appropriate team members on continuing the conversation and taking the next steps towards inclusion.

As always, it is critical that we acknowledge and work together towards ending anti-transgender violence and discrimination, which is a persistent and real threat to the daily lives of transgender and nonbinary people around the world. At the same time, we cannot forget to also reflect upon, honor, and celebrate the joy and triumphs of this community. TDOV presents a vital opportunity to engage companies, stakeholders, and employees in conversations, programming, and celebration.

Please join me in honoring Transgender Day of Visibility and continuing to advance inclusion efforts year-round. Thank you for your continued support and all that you do to create workplaces and communities where everyone belongs.
