The next 6 pieces of vintage neon artwork have had their neon replaced and are now in great working condition.

Beyond Walls' Neon Committee is working with building owners to get all electrical work for 'hook ups' completed by mid to late October, weather permitting. If you know of a building owner in downtown Lynn who'd like a piece of neon or if you'd like to help out with this project, shoot us an email .

In the coming weeks, we will announce when the pieces are likely to be installed as well as a date for a lighting ceremony.
Temporary lighting has been installed at the Central Square, Market Street, and Washington Street Underpasses. Payette, LAM Partners, Port Lighting Systems, IBEW 103, and Phillips Color Kinetics along with individuals from the MBTA have been working to finalize all plans for installation of lighting hardware. We are currently working on getting all electrical plans approved by an electrical engineer. Once approved, we will order all the hardware for the systems. We anticipate ordering the equipment in October.

Pre-mounting work will begin as early as October. Completion date for the full system is to be determined based on product delivery. Stay tuned for updates.
Delivery date for the donated 1942 GE I-A Jet Engine to Lynn Vocational Technical Institute (LVTI) is being determined tomorrow (September 26, 2017).

LVTI will be working on the engine throughout fall/winter 2017 with a projected Spring 2018 install date.
We are excited to announce that as of September 15th, Pedro Soto, Amanda Hill, and Al Wilson are now working full-time with Beyond Walls. This added capacity will help us to grow as an organization and serve the community more effectively in 2018.

We are considering incorporating as a 501c3 nonprofit and recently attended a Nonprofit Incorporation Workshop at Goodwin Procter with lecturers from Lawyers Clearinghouse and Third Sector New England.

We are looking forward to receiving feedback from all members of the community, via an online survey that will be distributed in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned as we continue to develop and sculpt our plans moving forward.
