As we slowly and safely begin to allow students in the school for tech work and rehearsals we want to keep lines of communication as open as possible. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to come address them virtually at this time.

October 28th 4:30 -5:30 Set, Costumes and Exec Meet In Person
As we slowly and safely begin to allow students we will be choosing only a handful of volunteers to help work Tech this week. Who is coming in will be decided during our Monday Virtual Meeting but it will be a handful of students who are comfortable coming in from Costumes, Tech, or Exec. The amount of students will not exceed 10 and we will be working in both the black box and auditorium in stations. For more information see COVID In Person Plan.

October 29th 4:30p- 5:30 Swing/Commercial Characters
Anyone who is cast as a swing is required for this rehearsal. This will be the time we discuss different commercials for the show! Other actors are welcome to join if they have ideas!

Go Slow to Go Far

As we begin to see discussions of sports and extracurricular activities begin to safely operate, we too will begin the process of allowing students SAFELY back into the building. I have worked with the LCPS Theatre Instructional head as well as our own faculty to implement a plan to allow our students to slowly and safely come into the building. I want to preface to students and parents alike, this will not be business as usual when we enter the building. There will be a few amount of students allowed, signage with who goes where, and stations allowing at minimum 10ft distance. Mask will be required at all times. I want to also remind you THIS IS 100% optional. If you do not feel comfortable or feeling sick at all. DO NOT COME TO IN PERSON MEETINGS OR REHEARSALS. I will work with you and your family individually on how you can still create in a way that makes sense for you and your family's health and safety.

I also keep getting a lot of questions about when the show is. The short answer is I do not know. This normally would be an unacceptable answer, but as we see rules and COVID changing every day we do not know how long it will take for us to create a project we are proud of. I also understand the is a stressful year for all, and I do not want to put a massive deadline or pressure on our students. We will continue to meet regularly and set small and manageable goals for ourselves one week at a time. Our mantra this year comes from Mr. Spage "Go slow to go far". The most important thing is our students are creating in a safe environment, getting to do what they love. We are so lucky that this is in fact happening, the students have been so amazing keeping high spirits and really dedicating themselves to this project.
