Staying involved in the Bloomington/Normal area, and beyond.
Where do you fit... Beyond the Bricks?

Welcome... to the latest issue of
Beyond the Bricks!

Dear Christian Friends,

The last several weeks have seen some severely cold temperatures.  The temperatures have been around 0 degree, with wind chills approaching -20 degrees.  When the weather becomes that brutal I think of those who work and live outside.  I stop and say a prayer for their safety and protection.

It's never hard to find someone for whom we can pray.  Just look at the news and there will be someone in need of your prayers.  From those suffering personal tragedies to those caught in the crossfire of wars halfway around the world, someone cries out to be lifted in prayer.

Who has God placed on your heart to pray for?

Peace,
Jim Warren

Please join Faith in Action for a fun filled evening all in the name of helping keep seniors independent and in their own homes. There will be games galore, raffles, a Live Auction & cash bar.  Besides attending, other ways you can help:

SPONSORSHIP:  Did you know that as a Faith in Action volunteer, you can also participate as a Dinner & Auction Sponsor? A $250 contribution qualifies you as an event Friend, and your name will be included on the back of the program. Higher sponsorship levels are also available.

DONATIONS:  We are grateful for the work of the Auction & Dinner acquisition team as they bring in phenomenal items for the 2018 Auction & Dinner on February 10, 2018.  There is a need for the following as auction items and prizes for the event:
    • gift cards/certificates
    • service certificates
    • cash donations to help purchase live auction package components
If you know a business that could be approached for a donation,
contact  Jessie at Faith in Action.

VOLUNTEER:   Finally, if you are interested in assisting with an activity the evening of the Dinner & Auction, email Terri or call 309-827-7780.

Together, we can make our 2018 Auction & Dinner not only a success, but a reflection of our community's dedication to our senior neighbors. January 26 is the deadline for donation submission. Please call the office with any questions. Thank you for your help!
