Real Estate News
Amazon's New Headquarters
There has been a ton of speculation about where Amazon is going to build its second headquarters. Concord was in the running at one point but does not appear to be in the Top 20. Denver, Los Angeles, Nashville and Washington DC all still appear to be contenders. Zillow did a write-up analyzing what will happen to the rental market in the cities that are still being considered. The new Amazon headquarters will bring 50,000 jobs to that city, so it is not a surprise that rents in those cities are projected to increase dramatically. Nashville could see the largest impact at a 2.4% increase in rent. However, what they cannot estimate is the long terms effects on that city if other companies start choosing to open offices there as well (i.e. Seattle). In the event that happens, the increases could be astronomical. There will be a lot of people watching this and it is definitely going to be interesting. Stay Tuned for additional updates on Amazon H2 Watch 2018!

Animals on Broadway
We love dogs! They make me smile and they are so much fun!! ARF wants to raise $95,000 to rescue more dogs and cats and SAVE THEIR LIVES!! Below are the event details:

Saturday, May 19, 2018
9:30 am - Pet Walk
10 am - 4 pm - Community Festival
Broadway Plaza - Walnut Creek, CA

I've been to this event before and it was really fun. The walk starts at 9:30am and is about one mile long (bring your pet!) The main street downtown (in front of Nordstrom) is closed after for the games, adoptions, etc.. There are so many cute dogs and cats and there are little booths with games for the kids. Get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather we have been having and support a great cause!

Restaurant of the Month
This past weekend we went to Sauced in Walnut Creek for lunch. It was amazing. We loved it! I had the sliders trio (One beef and two pulled pork). They have a few sauces on the table to try. I had the Golden Mustard BBQ sauce and it was amazing! The mustard and vinegar combination had just the right amount of spice. My husband had the Party Chick Sandwich and he loved it. The maple reduction on top was fantastic. On the side we had the cornbread that had just the right amount of honey so that it wasn't too sweet. I had the sweet tea, but on Sundays, they have a build your own Bloody Mary bar. I definitely want to try that next time. The atmosphere is casual it has a really large seating area inside and a great patio outside for warm summer evenings. They sat us in a back booth, which was great because then I didn't have to worry our table was too loud ;) There are tons of TV's that are great for watching sports too! I highly recommend it!
