Dear William Paterson Faculty and Staff,
Our beautiful campus will play a part in two major film/TV productions, which will be filming on campus on select dates during the period of Monday, October 6 through October 31, with additional time planned between November 19 and December 5. Please check the daily announcements for more details on specific filming times as well as which spaces around the main campus and 160 Valley Road will be impacted. We anticipate nothing more than minor disruptions, including possible temporary adjustments in certain areas. We are working closely with the production teams to ensure that all activities are safe and respectful of the needs of our students, faculty, and staff. While we are unable to share further details at this time, we will provide more information when we are able, and I want to thank everyone in advance for your cooperation.
I will take a break from providing enrollment updates until there is more to report after Census II on November 11.
I hope you can join us for Homecoming & Family Day this Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with pre-game tailgating in Lot 2. The family carnival, Pioneer football game against Vermont State University Castleton at 1:00 p.m. at Wightman Stadium, and Women’s Soccer versus Rutgers-Newark at 5:00 p.m. at Pioneer Soccer Park round out the day’s activities.
Also coming up is the William Paterson University Foundation’s Annual Golf Outing on Monday, Oct. 6 at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J. Registering to play is a great way to help support student scholarships, but it’s not the only way. Please check out the link to learn more about playing, joining us for cocktails and dinner, and/or making a direct contribution to student scholarships. Thank you to everyone who has already registered their support in some way, and we look forward to seeing you out there next week.
Congratulations again to everyone who was recognized at last week’s Years of Service Awards breakfast. As I shared in my remarks, when talented, skilled people choose to stay and build their careers over the course of years and decades, it is a strong indicator of a healthy institution and a strong academic community. Please click here to check out some of the great photos from the event, and thank you again for your dedicated service to William Paterson and our students.
