Dr. Leigh Anne Stephens
BiTE Dentistry has announced the addition of Dr. Leigh Anne Stephens, D.M.D., A.E.G.D. to the team as she brings a wealth of knowledge of Holistic and Biological dentistry to the practice. BiTE Dentistry was founded by Dr. Cristin Lewis and is proud to be a leading provider of superior dental care to patients in middle Tennessee. BiTE Dentistry offers state-of-the-art techniques and services that focus on complete dental care, sports dentistry and cosmetic / restorative dentistry and holistic dentistry.
Dr. Stephens graduated dental school from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. She expanded her dental training in completing an Advanced Education of General Dentistry residency in Southern Colorado. It was in this residency that Dr. Stephens was first exposed to holistic dentistry by her residency dentist mentors. After the residency, Dr. Stephens moved to Denver to practice dentistry and later discovered health issues that were related to heavy metal exposure and environmental toxins that traditional medicine could not solve. With the help of a naturopathic doctor, she was able to start her journey of healing.
Dr. Stephens is a proud, active member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). She is trained and practices safe mercury removal protocols. Dr. Stephens is a Biological Dentist which means she is highly concerned with the biocompatibility of dental materials for each individual. Her study and personal health journey have fueled her passion to educate and care for others with health issues related to toxins and autoimmune issues. Dr. Stephens will focus on assisting patients seeking natural and holistic dentistry.
Dr. Stephens is a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, Tennessee Dental Association and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
