For meat lovers, stop by Breakaway Farm for your pork and make slow cooked carnitas! Use the stock to steam the collard greens and serve with rice! For veggie lovers, use the collard leaves as a wrap and fill with avocado, Quinoa, your favorite crunchy veggies, and hummus from Aladdin’s and dip in peanut sauce. Stop by the Cabbage Throw tent for a full recipe :)

***Special News***
Meet the newest member of the Cabbage Throw team, Basil! She is a sweet Catahoula quickly adapting to farm life.
Phillips Farm
Phillips Farms would like to add some “spice” into your life --- with our delicious fresh-picked arugula!! This peppery green is a lesser known cruciferous vegetable that provides many of the same benefits as other vegetables of the same family, such as broccoli, kale, and Brussels sprouts. Try adding a handful to your favorite omelet, mix it in with your salad greens, or do a simple saute in olive oil and top with Parmesan cheese. In addition to arugula, look for these other items at Phillips Farms this Saturday: Asparagus, rhubarb, greenhouse tomatoes, wintered-over spinach, apples, cider, cut flowers and hanging baskets.

And MAYBE making an appearance… fresh-picked strawberries?!
