TEENS WANTED AS GREETERS
at the Florida Eucharistic Congress at Queen of Peace

There is a special youth track (all invited) featuring Joe Melendrez. He is an amazing speaker and a very talented musician. We are looking for a few teenagers to volunteer to be greeters at this event. Service hours can be earned for volunteering! To sweeten the deal even more...we will give you free food before the event! We'll meet at Holy Faith at 4pm, eat, and then caravan to Queen of Peace together.
Please email as soon as possible this week to: I Want to attend. if you would like to come join us for the awesome Youth Track and/or to volunteer to help. Hope to see you there!

We would like to thank all those who have volunteered to be Outreach Ministers to the sick and homebound. These new Outreach Ministers have enabled us to begin providing services once again to the many nursing homes we serve. We are still in need of about 10 more Outreach Eucharistic Ministers for North Florida Regional Medical Center, Rehab Centers, and for the homebound. Pray about serving your fellow people of faith through outreach ministry. Sign up today to get more information about this Ministry of Compassion of the Church.

We have rescheduled the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Fr. John Gillespie to Friday, August 12 2022.
Mass will be at 5pm followed by a time of celebration and congratulations for his service to God and His Church, and the community throughout his 50 years of priesthood, in the Fr. John M. Phillips Parish Life Center.

The guest speakers this year are Archbishop Nelson Perez of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Curtis Martin, CEO and founder of FOCUS Ministries; Marilyn Santos, associate director of the USCCB Secretariat of Evangelization, and Catechesis; and Joe Melendrez, a Catholic youth speaker and musician. They are all nationally known and promise to be engaging! The Eucharistic Congress is free so bring your friends and family. The 2022 Florida Eucharistic Congress is on Friday, June 17, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gainesville. On Saturday, June 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jacksonville, the day begins with Mass at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 4:00 p.m. There is a special Theology on Tap event that evening for Young Adults with Joe Melendrez as the guest speaker at Legacy Ale Works (14965 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville).
