Week Five: Exodus 35-Leviticus 18

This week, we will start the book of Leviticus. It's a beautifully designed book and fundamental to understanding God's relationship with his people.

However, many people often misunderstand this book because of its cultural distance from most modern readers. One helpful way to grasp the meaning of Leviticus is to look at the fascinating symmetrical design that explores three primary ways in which rebellious people can live near their God without fear.

This week's reading will focus on the first half of Leviticus, which explores how Israel is to practice ritual sacrifice, the priesthood, and ritual purity. You'll conclude this week with a crucial annual feast, the Day of Atonement, which we'll share more about next week.

Finally, there are times and links to the Bible Studies on Thursday and Friday. Join us in a discussion about what we are reading. If you have any questions or need assistance, reach out to me at lisa@epiphanyseattle.org.
