Eric Casey, the Gulftainer CEO, will share his plans and vision for the Port of Wilmington, and how he sees moving the operations from the 19th most active port in the country to a top 10 port before the end of this decade. Eric will follow up a panel of manufacturers who will share their outlook for the remainder of 2020, and the job skills they’ll need as we head into 2021. Later in the day, you can catch all of Ted Abernathy’s presentation about how Delaware stacks up in comparison to surrounding states – fascinating stuff.  

We close out the day hearing from Governor John Carney, Delaware Senate President Pro Tempore David McBride (SD13), and Speaker of the House Pete Schwartzkopf (RD14). The business community must take on much of the future on its own. However, there are issues where the public and private sectors intersect and managing these issues with clarity and speed will help everyone succeed. We hope to hear ideas from the elected leadership of the State and plans they are making to “Put Delawareans Back to Work.”
