Dear Healthy Aging Readers,
to announce our acceptance into the WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Communities and a member of the AARP
The big news is that JoAnn Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer of AARP will be presenting this certification to HA-MA leadership and members of the Boards of Selectman from each of the six towns today,
Thursday August 11th at 4:00 at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
Following the presentation, JoAnn Jenkins will be speaking about her
It challenges the way we see ourselves getting older. She focuses on three core areas - health, wealth and self - to show how to embrace opportunities and change the way we live our days.
Her speech will be terrific! I know it's August, and it's hot and very busy, but the Tabernacle is a wonderful place and this is history in the making.
Ms. Jenkins is a wise and powerful woman and the celebration of the Cottagers happens rarely.
Come, Enjoy and Join Us!
