Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policy & Analysis (LERCPA) LinkedIn Group Adds 3,200th Member!
We have a tradition of welcoming each 100th member in our LERCPA LinkedIn group. Our group is a great way to meet others working in clean energy and sustainability in the DC area, around the US, and in 100+ other countries. Join here .

We would like to welcome Bill Bliler who is located in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently working for Easy Energy Systems, a bioenergy company, as their Director of Investor Relations for North America. Bill was drawn to Leaders in Energy by his passion for the environment in general…and renewable sources of energy in particular. He states:

“I have always been an environmentalist at heart…in that I feel the human populace should act as caretakers of this awesome planet that we have been given as our home. For example, if someone loaned you a lodge or vacation home, you should leave it better than when you arrived. That should be the attitude of each individual….to leave this Earth in better condition than you were born into. Leaders In Energy has a passion for the energy aspect. By advocating for green and renewable energy sources, we can reverse some of the damage that has been done to our Earthly home….and leave it in better shape than when we arrived.”

NOTE: Through our in-person and virtual community, we have built a base with a reach of 6,000+ people.
Workshop - Build Your Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Skills for a Clean World -
Powerful Collaborations for Change
On June 29, Leaders in Energy will be hosting the ‘ Green EQ* Skills Workshop : Build Your EQ* Skills to Create Powerful Collaborations for Change.’ Emotional intelligence, or EQ*, is a renowned management and leadership training approach that empowers us to identify our unique strengths and capacities, and the important capabilities of others.
The focus on emotional intelligence is growing: a recent survey of over than 2,600 hiring managers found that 71% stated that they valued emotional intelligence over IQ, and more than 75% said they were more likely to promote a highly emotionally intelligent worker. Emotional intelligence is only going to become more important in the future, as the recent World Economic Forum's report, Future of Jobs ranked emotional intelligence one of the 10 most crucial skills for 2020 .

Learn more here about the workshop which also includes a personalized profile and 50+ page workbook from Six Seconds for you to use into the future

Early bird pricing for the workshop is $110 thru June 21st, and $125 after that date. There is also a student/job seeker category of $99 thru June 21st and $115 after that date.

Volunteer at the workshop (help at registration desk, write article on the event, take photos, etc.) and we will waive the LE fee with the only cost being for the personalized assessment which is scored by a third-party vendor. Contact if interested by no later than Wednesday, June 26th.

Thanks to EcoAction Arlington for being a co-sponsor.

This article by Miriam Aczel, LE Director of Communications and Blog Editor, examines how emotional intelligence can help further a clean and sustainable world with Dr. Beth Offenbacker, LE Director of Training and Education and EQ Workshop instructor and Janine Finnell, LE Executive Director.
